The intrinsic variability of AGNs

Abstract:

ulti-band intrinsic variability is a defining characteristic of AGNs, however its physical nature remains unclear for decades. In this talk I focus on AGN intrinsic variability in UV/optical and X-ray. I will introduce the main characteristics of such variability, current physical models, and new clues we obtained to understand the intricate variability.
