北京大学马伯强教授来访并作学术报告

Prof. Boqiang Ma from Peking University visited SWIFAR

2019年1月24日，北京大学物理学院马伯强教授应邀访问中国西南天文研究所，并为研究所及物理与天文学院师生作学术报告。

马伯强教授研究领域广泛，包括粒子物理、中高能核物理、粒子天体物理以及宇宙学等。此次报告中，他介绍了利用伽马射线暴以及与之相关联的宇宙中微子研究光速变化和洛伦兹对称性破缺方面的相关成果。报告结束后，师生们就理论物理、高能宇宙线等相关问题与马伯强教授进行了深入交流。

马伯强教授简介：

1989年获北京大学博士学位，曾获北京大学青年科技成果奖一等奖。1989年至1991年为中科院高能物理研究所博士后。1991年获德国洪堡基金会研究金，1992年至1993年为法兰克福大学理论物理所洪堡学者。1995年为中科院高能物理研究所副研究员。1998年12月在中科院高能物理研究所破格通过研究员职称评定并任研究员。于1999年作为第一获奖人获中科院自然科学奖二等奖。2000年1月起在北京大学物理系任教授。为2000年国家杰出青年科学基金获得者。2001年起为理论物理长江学者特聘教授。2004年获中国物理学会周培源物理奖。

Prof. Boqiang Ma from Peking University visited SWIFAR on Jan. 24, 2019. He gave a colloquium presentation on “Lorentz Invariance Violation from Ultrahigh Energy Cosmic Rays”. In the colloquium, Prof. Maintroducedthe recentstudiesby his group toconstrainthe variation of the speed of light from gamma ray bursts and the Lorentz violation and CPT violation from the association of cosmic neutrino events with gamma ray bursts.After the talk, he had an extensive and stimulating discussion with the facultymembersand students at SWIFAR.

BoqiangMais a professorof School of Physics atPeking University. Heobtainedhis PhD from Peking University in 1989, andthenwas a postdoctoral fellowattheInstitute of High-Energy Physics(IHEP)from 1989 to 1991. Hewasawardedthe Humboldt fellowship to work atthe Frankfurt Universityfrom1992 and 1993.From 1995 to 1999, he was the associated research professor and then the full research professor at IHEP.Since 2000,he has been a full professoratPeking University.
